Colorado Wedding

The Couple

Morgan + Phillip

Love Story

“Morgan and Phillip met in 2014 during their American Sign Language class at CU. Morgan transferred in from Santa Clara University, and Phil was her first friend that was not a member of the soccer team. Over the years, what started as a great friendship eventually blossomed into a very special relationship. In 2019, we decided to take the next step and move into our first home together and in 2020 we welcomed our first baby into the world. Although it feels like we have been married for several years now, in 2021 we decided it was time to make it official and Phil proposed. We are very excited to continue our life together as a family and look forward to a lifetime of laughter and memories.”

The Wedding

“I started working with Morgan and Phillip in February 2021. I got a call from her but had no idea that the groom was an NFL player. I was driving and answered my phone. Morgan the bride asked me if she could set up a consult and I told her that absolutely. She then mentioned that she had had trouble getting through to planners and when would I send her the consult link. I told her that I would call her within an hour. Karla, my Lead, and I called them in an hour. I saw the groom and he introduced himself.  I recognized him because my husband is a huge fan #undrafted. I was so excited. We did the consult and they hired us within 3 days. I started by creating a budget and then finding them a venue that met all their criteria. We saw 5 venues and they fell in love with the Woodlands in Morrison who had June 10th available. It was important to get a date in June due to the NFL training season. After this I reached out to the vendors who I thought would be a great fit for them starting with a photographer and then a florist. They wanted an interactive food option so I suggested stations. They tasted with 2 caterers and decided to go with Biscuits and Berries. They were so NICE and so amazing to work with. I went to all of Morgan’s dress appointments (she did around 8 of them) and she fell in love with a dress. It was an amazing wedding. Phillip the groom was really nice, on the wedding day he made a point to meet every vendor and personally thank them. I have never seen this before. Morgan became a dear friend and I miss her!”
