“Owning a wedding design and decor company for the past several years, I have seen and accessorized many weddings. So when my daughter became engaged at the beginning of this year, making her wedding unique and different became a top priority. The decor was based on a desired color palette of neutrals; creams, whites, tans, browns, and grays with black accents. Faux and dried florals along with grasses and palms were used to create a romantic and natural bohemian look. Gray and soft-colored terracotta pottery brought added texture mixed with wood, cement, and vintage rattan pieces throughout. The wedding party’s black attire complimented the black metal accents in the photo frames, easels, and hurricane holders. Black script was softened by frosted acrylic to create a romantic yet modern feel on signage throughout the venue. Between a palm wall, floral arranged pots, and several floral swags, this venue was consumed in textures and neutrals. The ceremony began with the bridal party and groom waiting at the end of the aisle in front of two floral, grass, and palm stand-alone arches. The aisle was lined with carboy glass jugs filled with dried palms and a walkway sprinkled with cream rose petals. A large overhead grass and pampas centerpiece was a beautiful statement under which the bride walked. The reception consisted of an enormous dessert table that catered to every sweet tooth, covered in treats from several local bakeries. The custom soda and pretzel bars were a delicious addition of savory to the sweet. A white castle bounce house dressed with a neutral-colored balloon arch was a highlight for small children as well as the bride and groom themselves. Children also filled custom-drawn coloring pages of the newly married couple at a pillow-encased kid-sized table. Young ones not outside danced among bubbles on the dance floor where they enjoyed the moves of parents and friend. The day was beautiful, unique, and something both my daughter and I will treasure forever.”
