A Guide to Accessorizing Your Bridesmaids

Accessorizing your bridesmaids is no small task, it’s important to have a cohesive theme and to make sure that nothing clashes or stands out too much, after all it is your time to shine! From hairpins and combs to necklaces and earrings, the world is your oyster!

First things first, decide on a color palette for their dresses and then decide what type of metal you’ll want your ladies to adorn, whether it’s silver, gold, or rose gold. You can mix metals but be careful with how much you mix, you don’t want it to take away or distract from the overall look. Follow along as we share all the bridesmaid accessory inspiration you need!

Talk about bridesmaid goals! For this look we fitted the girls in champagne satin Jenny Yoo gowns that complemented the Maid of Honor rocking a mint green Watters dress. This color pallet is oh so perfect for spring! For hair accessories, these bridesmaid babes sported hair combs from The Bridal Collection, that features a delicate and sparkly floral design complementing the color palette of their dresses. And, to fit in with the floral theme, the bride wore a real floral hair clip. Hairpins and combs are a perfect finishing touch to an updo or even in a half up half down hairstyle.

For jewelry we like to say less is more. The more jewelry you add, the more it takes away from your ladies’ dresses and their natural beauty. For this shoot we partnered with a Canadian based jewelry company, Olive + Piper, who creates timeless, classic and feminine pieces that make you feel confident and beautiful. Olive + Piper has it all from the bride to bridesmaids, to something for your mom! For the first bridesmaid, we paired her Esmee Chain Necklace with the matching Esmee Chain Bracelet and finished off the look with the Tilda Drop Earrings that have hints of floral elements and a see-through teardrop. These gorgeous earrings are the perfect size between a stud and a statement. Wear them with tousled hair or as pictured low bun for a sleek and luxurious vibe.

For the next look, we mixed it up with pearls, diamonds and a little bit of crystal. This bridesmaid is wearing a classic teardrop Bea Stud Earrings, that features a luminous pearl textured center outlined with pave for a little bit of shine. The neckline of her dress was a perfect place for the Clementine Pendant Necklace that is so elegant and easy-to-wear and will go with everything you already have. With the pearl earrings and a crystal pendant necklace, we decided to incorporate both with the dainty Cecilia Cuff Bracelet that is adorned with a crystal and pearl cluster complementing her earrings and necklace.

Another great way to style the Clementine Pendant Necklace is to make it your bridal look by pairing it with the Tilda Drop Earrings and Cecilia Cuff Bracelet. That’s the beauty in these pieces is the versatility of them and the fact that you and your bride tribe can have a cohesive look while still differentiating a bridal look from a bridesmaid look.

For this last look, we paired the Melody Stud Earrings with the April Pendant Necklace which both feature a blush pink rose quartz and are finished off with shimmering pave lining. These earrings and necklace are a perfect match for someone with a warmer skin tone as you can see they are a perfect fit for this bridesmaid babe!

Nowadays brides are choosing to gift their bridesmaids their jewelry to thank them for being along for the ride, we love the idea of gifting sets of jewelry that you would like your gal pals to wear for your big day, not to mention they will always remember your wedding whenever they re-wear them! Check out some boxes from Olive + Piper that we curated for gifting your besties.

Now you and your crew are ready to party away your big day!
