Geoffrey and Justine met at lunch at the beginning of their sophomore year of high school. Geoffrey happened to sit with Justine’s friends and was shortly introduced to her. A few weeks later, Geoffrey ran up to Justine in the school courtyard and their interest in each other began. He then decided to sit with her and her friends at lunch daily. After a few more weeks of flirty interactions, lunch conversations, and car rides to confirmation classes, he asked her out on October 26, 2012 after a Woodlands football game. After about two and a half years of dating, they started their long distance journey. Geoffrey chose Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado to get his education and to play football. Justine chose Baylor University in Waco, Texas. They were determined to get through long distance as soon as possible to be together. They stayed loyal and strong throughout their years apart, and after three years, Justine graduated in May of 2018 and moved to Golden to be with Geoffrey. As well as living near Geoffery, she began to teach first grade at Flynn Elementary. Two months after living near each other, they got a puppy named Koda. On October 27, 2018 Justine and Geoffrey’s families flew in for one of Geoffrey’s football games the weekend of their six-year anniversary. After the football game, both families went up to the top of Lookout Mountain for a hike. Geoffrey got down on one knee and asked Justine to be his wife, alongside Koda. These high school sweethearts are beyond excited to spend forever together.
