With the colder months quickly approaching, we want to help you be prepared to warm things up at your wedding! We’ve put together a list of 9 of our favorite seasonal sweets you can serve at your reception that feel like fall without going over-the-top on the autumnal theme. From desserts to drinks, you can add a little *spice* this season!
If you aren’t a huge “cake” couple, you can swap this traditional dessert out with pie instead! An assortment of pies can give your guests options and help them feel warm and cozy at the end of the night.

A subtle side to the fall season could be incorporating carrot cake as one of the flavors in your wedding cake or assorted cupcakes. Carrot cake with cream cheese icing can be enjoyed any time of year, so it isn’t too crazy of a fall flavor, but the warm spiced cake flavor will remind your guests of this fan-favorite time of year.

Cookies are a great finger-food dessert item to include at your reception, and snickerdoodle can be a flavor option to play on the fall.
Especially if you’re opting for a smaller, simpler cake, a coffee cake is a yummy, warm treat that everyone loves. Serve your coffee cake with a hot coffee bar at the reception for a late-night pick me up, and a *sweet* way to keep everyone warm in the weather.
Donuts aren’t exclusive to the fall season, but a dense cake donut always feels a bit more comforting – especially dipped in your coffee from above. Apple cider cake donuts and old-fashioned donuts would be great flavor options to include for the fall!

Put a *twist* on dessert time with some hot, fresh churros! These cinnamon sweets melt in your mouth, and are perfect for a colder-monthed wedding. You can even have a Churro Bar at your wedding, where guests can choose different toppings, dips, or even ice cream to go with their sweet cinnamon treat!
If a hot coffee station isn’t for you, maybe some chilly espresso martinis are what you’re looking for instead. These creamy cocktails could be the perfect night-cap to warm up your guests on the inside this autumn! Or, stick to a hot drink with a Hotty Toddy as your signature cocktail this season.

Another fun, interactive dessert bar that really plays on the seasonal theme could be a caramel apple bar! Guests could choose different sauces and toppings for their apples, and it makes for the cutest fall photo ops!

When it’s cold outside, cocoa is the way to go. A hot cocoa bar with all the fixin’s might just be what a fall wedding in the chilly Rockies needs. You could even make it boozy by allowing the option for your bartenders to add in a spirit of your choosing!
