We wanted to create a relaxed, backyard, 70’s folk-inspired elopement that included some amazing local vendors. The elopement was located on a private property on Vancouver Island, looking over the mountains. A rustic rainbow shaped archway was created to hold the space for the vows. It was crafted by Carlie of Carlotta creative, which she blessed with her amazing floral work. Lots of unique, vintage details can be found throughout this shoot. Both the grooms’ outfits were created with vintage items, and the first dress worn by the bride was also a 70’s gown. The couples love for music was a huge inspiration in the planning of this day. We featured lyrics from their favourite songs in their vows, and the groom even serenaded his bride during their first look. Then when the sunset on their perfect day, they danced to Harvest Moon by Neil Young.
