Warm up Rocky Mountain Brides, it might be winter now, but springtime will be here before we know it! To help you prepare for your spring wedding, we’ve compiled a list of our current favs when it comes to signature cocktails for the season. Scroll through to sip some inspo for your beautiful little bar menu!
Nothing is quite as refreshing as a sour-not-too-sweet citrus margarita in the sunshine. You can’t go wrong with a margarita as your signature drink at a springtime wedding, guests will be ordering them all night long!
Mimosas count as a cocktail over here at Rocky Mountain Bride (you’re mixing something, its’ a mixed drink!) and nothing says “spring garden party” like a little bubbly and juice! You can even create a cute “mimosa bar” at your cocktail hour, giving guests choices of juices, berries, and garnishes to add even more beauty to the day.
Springtime sophistication called, and it wants its’ cosmopolitan! Cosmos are a pretty-in-pink martini with cranberry juice and lime, giving a sweet and sour springy taste that’s perfect for a spring wedding.
Flowers in your drink make it all the more on theme with “spring”, and if it tastes like flowers, you definitely know how to throw a themed party! Lavender cocktails always end up having a light and airy taste to them, which is the usual choice for spring cocktails (rather than a heavier, more bitter drink).
Not only is grapefruit delicious in cocktails, but it also turns them the most beautiful color! Cocktails can be decor too, so you can tie them in with your color palette to create the ultimate springtime design. (Pro Tip: a Paloma can be made a “PaNOma” if you want a mocktail on the menu instead! Check out Seedlip’s recipe here.)
Take us back to our childhoods with a Shirley temple, please! This mocktail is truly a classic, which would up the springtime joy and add a little more color into the mix. Plus, you can fill them with edible flowers to make them even more of a spring *moment*! (Pro Tip:. you can make your Shirley a “Dirty Shirley” and add your choice of spirit if you want to shake spring up a little more!)
The mix of flavors in a berry mule will feel just like the mix of colors at your springtime wedding! Not only are these cocktails delicious, gingery, and refreshing, but they also look so pretty in pictures!
