6 Styles Perfect for your Rocky Mountain Rehearsal Dinner

Whether it’s small intimate BBQ or a lavish 3-course plated meal, your rehearsal dinner is an important event that is the kick start to your wedding weekend! These are the celebrations you’ll look back on and remember for the years to come. Show up in style and your guests won’t be able to take their eyes off of you and your significant other!

Not sure where to start? First, determine what mood your rehearsal has and the time of year it is held. If you are planning a black tie wedding you might opt for something more elegant. Or, maybe because you’re planning a black tie event you want to host a more casual rehearsal dinner and want to throw on a cowboy hat. You’re in total control! And, just because you’re the bride, a white getup is not mandatory. These days, brides are choosing more personal ways of showing their style the night before they say I do. To help inspire your rehearsal dinner outfit, we’re sharing some of our favorite ways brides have styled their rehearsal dinner look no matter the venue, budget, or time of year.

Western Couture Chic

Thinking of investing in some couture for this monumental event? This bride-to-be, from our Park City Wedding Guide, kept it very elegant and chose an Alexander McQueen off-white lace midi length dress for her rehearsal dinner at The St. Regis Deer Valley. She even elevated the look further by styling it with some Fendi white patent leather booties, perfect for walking on all that rocky terrain. Don’t be afraid to invest in your wedding event outfits, you’ll have them forever and can wear them again and again for special dates and anniversaries.

Pop of Color

Add some color and throw on a dress that compliments your venue’s colors and landscaping, this soon to be Mrs. rocked a mustard colored dress that featured some small ruffle details. It was perfect for not only the venue, Villa Parker, that has a lot of natural apricot and caramel tones, but also fitting for that late summer or early fall prenuptial dinner. Consider your setting and decide if you want to stand out from the natural scenery, this color popped against the venue’s lush gardens and greenery. Jumpsuit

Make a statement and wear a jumpsuit, they’re extremely comfortable and can vary from causal to the most dramatic statement pieces. This Wyoming bride chose a white jumpsuit that featured buttons down both sides. Bonus it had pockets! Modern

For the modern bride, go for for a bold structured dress that compliments your contemporary venue. Try a dress with a deep-v cut neckline and add a fun printed belt that extenuates your waist in all the right places. This look screams sophisticated and chic and will definitely have your guests turning heads! Floral

Veer off the beaten path of white dresses and jumpsuits with a floral printed dress. This Idaho bride, featured in our McCall Wedding Guide, chose a blue floral off-the-shoulder dress that was perfect for summer; light and flowy, yes please! Not to mention, it works for your something blue if you don’t have something included in your day-of-wedding celebration! If you’re looking for a more feminine rehearsal dinner look, floral prints are for you.

Coordinate with your Partner!

We love how this Aspen bride, featured in our Aspen Wedding Guide, matched her fiancé! Both chose to wear cowboy hats to their rehearsal. The bride added more statement pieces to stand out from the crowd including turquoise earrings which was the perfect pop of color for her all white long sleeve dress. The dress also had a subtle slit, ideal for their summer mountain nuptials.
