5 Ways to Spice Up Your Fall Wedding

Planning a fall wedding? Pull inspiration for your wedding day decor from the time of the season. Fall-themed weddings can be darling if done in the right way. Avoid the cliché bright reds and oranges and spice it up a bit like this beautiful styled shoot put together by planner, A Touch of Bliss at the Hearth House in Monument, Colorado!

Have fun with your day-of-decor and beyond! There are so many new and unique ways to incorporate the season that give off all the fall feels without being tacky. Below we’re sharing a few tips to help inspire your fall I do!

5 fun ways to spice up your autumn wedding:

1. Go for a more contemporary look

Darker, moody hues can be helpful when trying to achieve a contemporary look. A color palette that includes deep purple, black, rust, and burgundy is perfect for giving off the modern fall feels. Not to mention, the color photograph beautifully both inside and outside! Doesn’t this lounge set up by Max & Livie look so cozy? It’s perfect for your guests to sip on a cider!

2. Unconventional seasonal decor

Goodbye leaves and pumpkins, hello figs, pears, and plums! Decor doesn’t always have to mean flowers. We love how Compass Rose was able to put a twist on the traditional decor by utilizing in-season fruits and dried oranges in both the table decor and ceremony arch.

3. It’s all about the details

Stationery can set the tone for your entire wedding, so be sure to include your theme from the get-go. From the Save-The-Dates to the RSVP Cards, it’s important to get your theme across even if it’s just a subtle touch of the theme like Designs by Sarah created below. Sarah brought in the color palette and fruit while keeping the suite sophisticated and modern! And, we adore how Ksenia K Photo brought in the same table elements to capture the invitation suite.

Another great space to implement your theme is on the cake! The cake is a focal point for many photos and should tie in effortlessly.

 4. Dress it down with a leather jacket + bold booties

Nothing says “Bad-Ass Bride” more than leather. Not only does it add a bit of flair, but it will also keep you (and your toes) warm…no cold feet allowed! For a fun personalized touch, have your new last name embroidered on the back of the jacket! Or, have your hubby-to-be write a special note on the bottom of your soles.

5. Match with your furever friend

This cute dachshund is sporting a leather jacket that compliments his fur-momma perfectly. If the leather jacket isn’t the right fit for your pup, consider a leather bowtie, collar, or leash!
