Whether you can’t wait to take your fiancé’s last name or perhaps, you’re planning a wedding when the summer evenings are cooler or the fall breeze calls for a little cover-up, a jean jacket is a perfect solution! Brides are choosing more ways to make their “I do!” jacket unique so we’ve rounded up 5 of our favorite denim jacket options for you to adorn your new last name on.
White Denim
Jess, a bride featured in our Denver Wedding Guide, opted for a denim jacket in white with a cropped and unfinished edge. It showcased a graphic of an arrow through two hearts, some flowers, a bird, and, of crouse, her new last name. We love how this bride chose a twist on the traditional denim with white; the color is oh, so fitting! Not to mention, white is a great choice for summertime weddings!

Hand-Painted Denim
This Colorado bride went with something a bit more feminine by having hand-painted flowers on her and her bridesmaids’ jackets. The bride’s jacket had the date of their wedding written in roman numerals on the bottom seem; a great way to customize her jacket while still coordinating with her maids.
Add to the fun by gifting your flower girls coordinating jackets too! This bride dressed her flower girls in light pink leather jackets with the same hand-painted flowers and their names. How cute?! Check out more of her wedding in our Colorado Spring/Summer 2020 issue.

Edgy Denim
These couples went with an edgier theme and we are obsessed! Both versions of the jacket feature skeleton hands with rings on and the phrase “Til Death Do Us Part” is stitched on. These custom jackets from Gypstitch Embroidery are perfect for the edgier couple who wants to make a bold statement! Both the bride and groom can choose dark denim for a moodier look or for a romantic touch, the bride can opt for a whitewashed denim jacket.

Bright and Bold Denim
Ashley, featured in our last national magazine, wore a colorfully painted denim jacket that featured her new last name and flames. It totally fits her theme of a country-rock n’ roll Wyoming wedding. She also gifted her bridesmaids the same style of jacket for them to wear during the reception with their names on them.
These jackets make for great bridesmaids gifts! Trust us when we say the investment is worth it because your bridesmaids will be able to wear these for years to come!

Embroidered Denim
During this adorable engagement session, highlighted in our McCall Wedding Guide, the bride-to-be brought a denim jacket that was embroidered with white flowers and her soon-to-be new last name. We love the idea of incorporating an element like this in your engagement session if you prefer not to incorporate it on your big day. Or, wear it to both!
These make for great save-the-dates, too!
