Aside from marrying your best friend and soulmate on your wedding day, some may say that getting all dolled up wearing the fanciest gown you may ever slip-on is one of the most exciting aspects. Looking and feeling like a million bucks on my big day was definitely one of my favorite parts. But, it is not always possible to have a glam squad follow you around for each and every wedding event you have to attend. That’s why we’ve teamed up with LoLa Beauty DNVR to share 3 easy hair tutorials you and your girlfriends can do on your own whether it’s for a girl’s night out at your bachelorette party or a bridal shower at your aunt’s house; you’ll definitely want to bookmark this page for reference!
Start by spraying a heat protectant in your hair. We love using OUAI Memory Mist because it helps protect your hair from heat, helps your hairstyle last and it smells AMAZING!
Section your hair and create beachy waves by wrapping 1-inch sections around a wand. Keep the ends out to create a piecey, textured look.
Grab a section of hair behind your bangs area to braid. To create a dutch braid, pull the outside pieces under the middle piece when braiding.
Pull the braid loose to create a fuller effect and pin back.
Tease the crown section behind the braid by using Big Sexy Hair Powder Play volumizing powder.
Spray the waves with texturizing spray, like Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray and fluff the hair with your fingers.
Curl the entire head of hair with a 1- inch curling iron or wand.
Section off half the hair by creating a part from ear to ear and secure with a ponytail holder.
Pull tightly and tease the ponytail.
Pull the top half of the hair into a ponytail. Make sure to keep the sides tight and the top loose to create a volumizing effect.
Wrap a section of hair around the ponytail holder to hide the band.
Spray the hair with Sexy Hair Dry Shampoo and fluff it up to create fullness.
Create loose waves using a 1 1/4 inch curling wand. Alternate the curls by curling away from the face.
Grab a 2 inch section of hair at the base of the neck to braid and secure the ends.
Tease the hair at the crown and pull back into a ponytail leaving out some face framing pieces. Secure with a clear elastic band.
Wrap the braid around the ponytail and secure by placing two bobby pins in alternating directions under the ponytail.
