Cupcakes, cookies and other sweet treats may have made their way into the wedding scene but the traditional wedding cake isn’t going anywhere! We saw everything from individual cakes for guests and the traditional white cake to multi-tiered works of art and colorful cakes. 1: White Delicacy by Marsh Cakes

This gorgeous two tier white wedding cake is featured in our Idaho 2022 print publication. The couple planned a black-and-white wedding at White Willow Estate with timeless and romantic details. 2: Southwestern Flair by Maggie’s Cakes

We adore this southwestern cake with intricate detailing, a bold pattern and real colorful florals. Maggie’s Cakes, located in Santa Fe, designed this wedding cake for a bohemian desert wedding at La Posada in New Mexico. 3: Cascading Ruffles by Dulcerella Cakes

This stunning wedding cake is featured on Rocky Mountain Bride’s blog “Delicate French Lavender Wedding Inspiration” – a styled shoot hosted at Chateau des Fleurs in Eagle Idaho. Mihaela LeCedre, the owner and the cake artist at Dulcerella, says “the cake was inspired by the dress ruffles and colors. Delicate wafer paper lace ruffles were arranged in a cascade on a background of different tones of pink, accentuated by bass relief details.”

4: Desert Cake by Flour & Flourish

5: Slot Canyons Cake by Jasmine Rae Cakes

7: Colourful Luxury by Yvonne’s Delightful Cakes

This colourful, romantic and elegant wedding cake was featured in our 2022 Canada Spring/Summer wedding magazine. Yvonne’s Delight Cakes crafted this work of art featuring intricate ruffles, hand painted details and sugar flowers. Adding the same florals from the wedding bouquet, arch, and decor is a great way to tie the dessert in with the rest of the day. 8: The PAWfect Wedding Cake by Elle’s Belles Bakery

We adore how this bride and groom had added a fun touch to their wedding cake. Peep the little figurine of their dog going for a quick nibble! Elle’s Belles Bakery decorated this soft blue wedding cake with fondant flowers to complement the gorgeous and colorful blooms that were displayed throughout the wedding weekend. This couple, featured in New Mexico 2022, chose to have two gorgeous wedding cakes for their reception. The first resembles the southwestern designs you see on tiles throughout the area and the second resembles Bishop’s Lodge, the wedding venue where they said I do! It’s safe to say these wedding cakes were the stars of the evening!
