13 Wedding Arches to Inspire your Rocky Mountain Ceremony

From choosing a color palette and wedding venue to selecting florals and designing tablescapes, there are so many fun details that go into planning a wedding! But, one of our favorite aspects is getting creative with wedding arches. The possibilities are endless. Today we are seeing couples step outside traditional boundaries by creating wedding arches that have never been seen before; after all, the goal is to showcase a little bit of your personality and wedding theme! Below we are sharing 13 wedding arches to inspire your wedding ceremony design. Use these to ideas to work with your vendor team to create something unique, yet beautiful!

One: Asymmetrical Open Concept
Planner: Sara Viera Events | Photographer: Cassidy Brooke | Florist: Southern Charm | Venue: Garden of the Gods Resort

Not only do we love the beautiful autumn colors used to decorate this arch, but we’re also obsessed with the asymmetrical design. The left side of the arch does a great job of framing the couple while the open concept right side allows guests to still take in the drop-dead gorgeous backdrop of Garden of the Gods.

Two: Ladders
Arch, Design + Floral: Idaho Mountain Weddings | Photographer: Hailey Jade

Utilizing everyday objects to create your arch is always fun! When the Rocky Mountains are your backdrop, designing an arch that doesn’t take away from the view is important. We love how these ladders bring in rustic and natural elements that complement the surroundings. Planner and florist, Idaho Mountain Weddings, did a beautiful job accenting the arch with a piece of simple sheer fabric and minimal floral.

Three: Half the Height
Planner: Grace & Gather Events | Photographer: Carrie King Photography | Venue: Cloud Camp, The Broadmoor | Floral: Erin Ashley Designs

Think outside the box like this stunning wedding arch made from dried florals. This gorgeous arch concept doesn’t take away from the Rocky Mountain backdrop which is always a plus in our book. Instead, it subtly frames the couple by coming mid-waist in height and complements its surroundings with natural wood branches thrown in throughout the florals.

Four: Flower Galor
Planner: Mountain Bride | Photographer: Sharon Litchfield | Venue: Fairmont Hot Springs Resort | Floral: MJ’s Floral Boutique

The roses and vines in this arch make us feel like we’re visiting a stunning garden. This arch is simple and classy in its approach. It’s the perfect focal point to match the stunning views of this wedding. Classic and breathtaking are two things that make this one of the perfect arches to inspire your Rocky Mountain wedding ceremony.

Five: Ground Arch
Planner: Snapdragon Celebrations | Photographer: June Cochran | Venue: Beaver Creek Wedding Deck | Floral: Lale Floral

This whimsical, non-traditional arch one of our favorite arches because it does what an arch does best: adds to the ceremony without stealing the spotlight. The wildflowers look as though they’ve been picked straight from the beautiful surroundings. And, unlike most arches, it lays directly on the ground for a unique take.

Six: Triangle Arch
Photographer: Ryan Shedrick Photography | Venue: The Barrel | Floral: Main Street Flower Market

This wedding arch featured on our daily blog is the perfect choice for the ceremony space. We adore the triangular shape over the traditional rounded arch and love how the florist chose to complement the natural colors of the surroundings by choosing a pompous grass as the main arch decor.

Seven: Free Flowing Florals
Photographer: Ashley Joyce Photography | Venue: Hotel Andaluz | Floral: Floriography

This unique arch is a beautiful centerpiece for a wedding ceremony. The simplistic structure keeps the focus on the bride and groom, while the free-flowing florals and greenery captures the beauty of the New Mexico desert in a modern venue.

Eight: Classicly Simple
Photographer: Kylie Morgan | Planner: Bliss Events Boise | Floral: Rust + Thistle Floral

A simple, yet chic arch is always a beautiful option! This round wedding arch frames the couple for the best photos and the floral accents complement the bride’s bouquet perfectly. While we love an arch covered in flowers, we also appreciate those with minimal accents!

Nine: Existing Structure
Photographer: Kaley from Kansas | Venue: The Haymaker Golf Course | Floral: Hop Rabbit Florals

You don’t always have to create a wedding arch from scratch! We love how this couple and vendor team decorated the existing structure to create a frame around the couple! A rug also helps shape the ceremony space.

Ten: Hexagons
Photographer: Kristin Jean, Photographer | Venue: Camelot Ranch | Event Design: Better to Gather | Floral: Macs Floral

Hexagons are a modern take on the traditional wedding shape. There are so many possibilities with a hexagon, however, we adore this simple wooden arch with minimal floral accents.

Eleven: Aspen Trees
Photographer: Aileen Choi Photography | Venue: Sea Cider Farm and Ciderhouse | Event Design: Heyday Events | Floral: Garden Party

Pulling in elements from nature is a fun way to tie in the environment you’re choosing to say I do in! The aspen trees create a strong but simple arch structure, while the design was enhanced with lanterns, a rug, and flower petals giving the ceremony space a beautiful pop of color.

Twelve: Less is More
Photographer: Isle + Oak Photography | Rentals: Long Table Event Rentals

Sometimes, less is more! When you have the Rockies as your backdrop, you honestly don’t need anything else. We love how this couple chose a simple, arch design with no decor. Nothing can take away from the couple or the views!

Thirteen: Fall Foliage Dreams
Photographer: Jennifer Mooney | Floral: Mum’s Weddings

This fall colored arch is beautiful with its complex colors and unique shape. This arch caught our eye because of its breathtaking attention to detail in the fall greenery. The colors and shapes have us looking forward to more dramatic arches. Have we ever mentioned how much we love the fall season?
