While some wedding traditions have come and gone, guest books have stood the test of time by evolving into interactive keepsakes for the couple. Your guest book is a place for friends and family to share warm wishes, congratulations, and advice as they celebrate your big day with you! Years later, it is fun to look back at your guest book and reflect on the people who made your wedding so special. Follow along as we share 10 unique wedding guest book ideas for you to incorporate into your big day!

One: Traditional

For a more traditional route, pick up a gorgeous silk or leather guest book from Emma & Grace Bridal or crushed velvet book from The First Snow. For an updated take, ask guests to share their favorite date night ideas for the newlyweds! With endless possibilities, you will love trying new things that may have never crossed your mind.

Two: Postcards

Do you and your fiance love to travel? If so, postcards are a fun and unique way to incorporate a guest book that fits your adventurous spirit! Whether you’ve collected postcards from the places you’ve already been, buy new ones, or design custom cards they serve as the perfect platform for guests to write messages on the backs of them with new travel and adventure suggestions.

Three: Polaroids

What better way to remember your day than with personal polaroids captured by your guests themselves! All you need is a personalized polaroid book, camera, extra film, and a marker so guests can stick their photo in the book with a little message. You can even assign a member of your bridal party to go around during cocktail hour to encourage guests to snap their photo.

Four: For the Record

Share your love of music with your guests with a vinyl record guest book. Place your beau and your favorite artist or album in an old school record player to have guests sign with metallic markers. Once it is complete, frame it and hang it on the wall for a special memory and new piece of art all in one!

Five: Thumbprint It

Let your guests get a little messy and creative with a thumbprint wedding guest book. Browse a few pre-made options at Uncommon Goods or design your own concept! Either way, it’s an interactive activity for guests to partake in during the cocktail hour. Frame the finished piece and hang the keepsake in your home to remind you of all the amazing friends and family who made your day so special!

Six: Stitched Together with Love

This is a new idea that we’re totally loving! Whether you set out quilt patches for guests to sign or you have a pre-made quilt ready to go, this cozy guest book is something you and your new spouse can snuggle up in for years to come.

Seven: Type it Out

Bringing up nostalgia for older guests and a new experience for the young ones, a vintage typewriter is the perfect whimsical touch to any wedding day. Have your guests type out well wishes on pieces of paper to later be bound into a book! Flip through the pages and reminisce about the love of others surrounding you as a couple.

Eight: Message in a Bottle

This guest book is a bit like a time capsule! Set out pieces of paper for guests to jot down advice and messages on. They will then roll the message up and drop it into a bottle. Keep this sealed and open it over on your 1st wedding anniversary. Enjoy the tips, laughs, and memories over a bottle of wine and leftover wedding cake!

Nine: Around the World

Do you love to travel? Is exploring new places a favorite pastime for your spouse and you? Then a globe is the ideal guest book for you. Have guests share their favorite places or countries they have visited, and then add those places to your bucket list! As you check off place after place, you will be reminded of the friend or family member who recommended it to you.

Ten: Custom Cornhole

Warm weather weddings feature time for guests to lounge and play games outside during cocktail hour. Colorado Joe’s creates custom cornhole boards displaying anything from your hometown state to a one-of-a-kind design. Have guests sign the back of the boards, and enjoy not only their sweet words but also the game for years to come!

We’d love to see your wedding guest books!
