“We met on Bumble and immediately connected over our shared love of the outdoors and adventure. We began dating shortly before the pandemic and, like many couples at the time, quickly found ourselves in a bubble of just the two of us. Those early months—spent backcountry skiing, biking, hiking, and navigating an uncertain world together—allowed us to build a deep bond that laid the foundation for everything that followed. James proposed on Valentine’s Day while we were skiing in Crested Butte, one of our favorite mountain towns. Overnight, the mountain received more than 18 inches of fresh snow. At the top of our very first run of the day, James popped off one ski, dropped to one knee, and asked me to marry him. What followed was truly one of the best ski runs of our lives—filled with tears, laughter, champagne, and endless powder.”
