“I moved to Idaho for college and completely fell in love with the mountains, the outdoors, the changing seasons, and the sunsets. When Layne came to visit, he fell in love with it too. Not long after, he decided to move here, and shortly after that, he proposed. After seven years of dating, there was never a question of where we would get married. Idaho is where our story really grew. The morning of our wedding felt calm and full of anticipation. We chose to get ready separately, which made everything feel even more special. I spent the morning with my bridesmaids (including my sister and sister-in-law), my mom, my mother-in-law, and my grandma, which are moments I’ll cherish forever. We didn’t do a first look, so seeing Layne for the first time as I walked down the aisle with my dad by my side is something I will never forget. One of the most meaningful parts of the day was having my uncle officiate our ceremony. He is incredibly close to both of us and delivered a heartfelt and unforgettable message that made the ceremony feel deeply personal. Surrounded by the Idaho landscape we love and all of our closest family and friends who traveled to celebrate with us, it felt overwhelming in the best way. After a sweet cocktail hour and family photos, we made our grand entrance into the reception and danced the night away. Watching the sunset over the mountains before ending the night with a sparkler exit felt like the most perfect reflection of our journey – joyful, warm, and full of light. It was truly the most beautiful and magical day of our lives and the sweetest beginning to this new chapter together.”
