European Inspired Black and White Wedding in Alberta

“Style inspiration felt as if it were pulled straight from the pages of Vogue, moody, editorial, and unapologetically sexy, yet grounded in raw, unscripted intimacy. For Sarah and Alan, the vision was high-fashion drama softened by movement and a dark, candlelit dinner setting. With thoughtful planning by Opal & Oak Events, every detail struck the perfect balance between elevated design and emotional authenticity. Set against the romantic backdrop of Archway Manor, the atmosphere embraced shadow and depth. Sarah wore a lace gown with long sleeves from The Bridal Boutique, the intricate detailing adding softness and timeless elegance to the otherwise bold aesthetic. Alan contrasted her romance in a full black tuxedo from Harry Rosen, sharp and sculpted against the candlelight. Beauty styling elevated the look while keeping it modern and intentional, glam by Shimmer and Glow MUA, refined brows by the bride herself and owner of Cult Lueur, and a modern updo by Naomi of Kind Beauty Society. All white florals by Alexandra Rose Métier emerged like sculptural art, layered, textural, and dramatic against black linens from Special Event Rentals. With black tablecloths and a black cake setting the tone, the palette remained deep and immersive, creating a cinematic atmosphere that felt edgy yet romantic. During cocktail hour there was live music from Timothonius and Justine Tyrell  which transitioned seamlessly into a high-energy set by Revolution Entertainment Company for the reception which was catered by Concorde Group. Cue Magic Content captured the in-between moments, laughter breaking the tension, hands intertwined under the table, the quiet weight of emotion behind every glance. Meaningful details anchored the edge, like Alan’s “till death” embroidered inside his collar, a hidden promise stitched close to his heart. These subtle elements added depth beneath the visual boldness. It was luxe without feeling untouchable. Fashion-forward without losing feeling. Dramatic, intimate, and deeply personal, a celebration that reflected Sarah and Alan’s love story with honesty, intensity, and undeniable style.”
