We first matched on Hinge at the height of our dating app frustration, which fizzled out after a failed Zach Bryan pick-up line. My roommate happened to know Hudson back in high school, and even though we had been living together for three years and she hadn’t connected with Hudson in almost six years, she decided to DM him on our girls’ trip in Mexico. It went something like, ‘Hey, I know we haven’t talked in forever, but you and my roommate are perfect for each other. Here’s her number. Don’t mess it up.’ Well, we went out shortly after, and never stopped. We both knew early on how special and different things felt, like everything we had gone through in past relationships perfectly led us to one another.
