“I had a crush on Chris since my freshman year of high school; he was the charming senior upperclassman. Years later, after my sophomore year of college, fate brought us back together, and it felt like what we’d always known: the right person, finally at the right time. We became inseparable, and on December 17th, Chris proposed in an intimate, snowy backyard moment. From there, I began planning our dream June wedding at The Simon in Louisville, right where we both grew up. While Chris was immersed in the demands of fire academy training, I took the lead on planning, envisioning soft pastel florals, mismatched colorful bridesmaid dresses that popped against the green expanse of Davidson Mesa, and the groomsmen in classic black suits. When the day arrived, golden light bathed the mountains, and I was able to fully soak in the celebration, surrounded by the people I love so much.”
