Opened in 2024, That Chapel Downtown offers a modern, blank canvas for any event. With its stunning venetian plaster and airy aesthetic, it’s the perfect backdrop for weddings, parties and gatherings up to 50 guests (sometimes more depending on the use). They provide all the essentials, like catering, beverage, tables and chairs – while giving you the freedom to bring in your favorite (licensed & insured) vendors. They also offer packages that provide ceremony and/or reception planning if you find yourself needing someone to pull your vision at their chapel together. That Chapel Downtown is incredibly accommodating – always striving to say yes and tailor the space to your vision & vibe.
The floor plan at That Chapel Downtown is designed with seamless flow in mind. As you enter, you’re greeted by a large open area, perfect for an entryway and cocktail hour. Guests naturally move from this pen space into the ceremony area, which can easily transform into a reception area depending on your event. Behind the ceremony wall lies a versatile transition space, often used for catering prep or quick room resets. Tucked away conveniently, you’ll find two bathrooms, ensuring guests have everything they need without interrupting the events flow.

“We had our destination wedding ceremony and reception at this venue last night and i am still in complete AWE of how amazing everything turned out. The attention to details exceeded my expectations !! Lindsay has been so amazing and kind throughout our whole process leading up to our special day. Nicole was also so incredible last night and she met all our questions and needs with a smile on her face. You all really made our night. We booked the draped elegance package on top of some additional extras the chapel provided in some of their add on packages and Lindsay provided custom floral packages for us along with some amazing lighting and candle displays. I’m looking at some of the negative reviews on here and i can honestly say that i cannot share the same experience because Lindsay and ALL her staff knocked it out of the park for us and made my wedding day everything i could of ever dreamed of (shout out to Andrew too!!!!) At no point did we feel rushed or like we weren’t welcome. I had family fly in from Ecuador, New Jersey, California, and Miami and they all felt catered too from start to finish. Fun facts
How did the venue become a wedding venue?
We found a condemned building in the perfect location and knew this had to be the location - after a year of obtaining permits, replacing the roof, gutting the inside completely and rehabbing everything - That Chapel Downtown opened!
What is your favorite part about a wedding?
Right after the couple walks up the aisle together after getting married - you see the stress leave their bodies! All of the worry just dissipates and you can literally see them get lighter.
