When he proposed, he booked out Sanctuary Gardens in Kelowna, British Columbia, a beautiful private acreage with a gazebo overlooking Okanagan Lake. Kelowna has always held a special place in my heart, and he made the day even more meaningful by surprising me with dozens and dozens of sunflowers, my favorite flower, and a series of hand-drawn illustrations that told the story of our journey together.
