“I first met Bianca and Tezlan three years ago when they reached out for a couples session in Tofino, just a few months into their relationship. Even then, it was so clear how deeply they connected; it is the kind of love that feels both effortless and unshakable. Fast forward a few years, and I got the sweetest message from Tezlan in my Instagram inbox: he was ready to propose, and he wanted me to be part of the surprise. We spent months secretly planning every detail together. The vision was set for Gabriola Island, a place with deep roots in their story. Bianca grew up there, and it’s a spot the two of them return to often, especially in the summertime. With the help of Bianca’s friend, who convinced her to dress up for a casual beach photo day, the plan fell perfectly into place. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, Tezlan, their family, and I worked together to create something truly special. A driftwood arch came to life on the sand, paired with a personalized sushi picnic, ready to celebrate what was about to unfold. As the sun began to dip and a British Columbia Ferry glided across the horizon, Bianca walked down the beach, unaware of what was waiting for her. Tezlan was there, waiting with the most heartfelt surprise. The moment she reached him, he dropped to one knee. Bianca was overwhelmed with joy, and of course, said yes. It was one of those rare, magical days where everything aligned: the setting, the emotions, the love that radiated between them—an intimate, coastal proposal filled with intention, beauty, and meaning. I couldn’t be more honored to have witnessed such a milestone in their love story.”
