“Evan and I met in my hometown, Hobbs, New Mexico. He lives in Hobbs for work, and I was in town spending time with my family! We both ended up at a local brewery, Drylands. After we met, we did not leave each other’s side. I lived in Lubbock, Texas at the time so there were a lot of trips back and forth every weekend! Easter weekend of 2024, we went to visit his parents in Edmond, Oklahoma. I did not think a proposal was going to happen since my parents were not going to be there. Little did I know, they were there the whole time. Evan, his parents, and I were going to go to dinner, but before we went, Evan wanted to go have ‘a drink.’ After our drink, we went out on a walk to a lighthouse, and he got down on one knee! I always knew I wanted to get married in the mountains, and my dad, Kenny, suggested we look at the Broadmoor. Evan and I instantly fell in love with the hotel for our venue. After we secured our venue, I got to work with our wedding planner, Laura Mayfield with Mayfield Events, and Mitch with Muse Florals! I showed them my Pinterest page, and they ran with ideas and totally killed it!! My advice for brides is to use Mayfield Events, because I didn’t stress one bit about how the day would turn out. And it was perfection and better than what I ever envisioned. One of the most special things about our day was that my Grampa was our officiant. He has always been very special in my life, and to have him marry Evan and I will be a memory I’ll never forget!! And one last thing, choosing Lexi as our photographer was a no brainer. She captured our day beautifully, and her character is so sweet that it makes you feel beautiful on your wedding day!”
