“Jamie and Jon traveled all the way from Michigan to Salt Lake City for their engagement photos ahead of their Moab/Zion wedding a day later that year. She had a vision of a true-to-them session, drinking their favorite cocktails at a local bar, and exploring downtown together. We first started at one of Salt Lake’s most beloved bars, White Horse. Tragically, just months after our shoot here, White Horse and its neighboring businesses were fatalities of a fire that engulfed the block. White Horse no longer exists, and we are so grateful to have had the chance to photograph their incredible space while it was still standing. White Horse is a conglomerate of Utah’s history and was the perfect backdrop for Jamie and Jon’s engagement session! After cocktails and rosemary truffle fries, we headed up to the Utah Capitol Building to run around the granite halls, before heading back to their hotel to slip into matching PJs and share a glass of champagne! Jamie and Jon are both EMS and met while both going through one of the harder times of their lives. After beginning as friends, their love blossomed into the stuff fairytales are written about. They are each other’s true other half!”
