“The bride and groom envisioned a day that married vintage charm with modern elegance, wrapped in the warm tones of early fall. Burnt oranges, rust reds, and browns really stood out against the ocean backdrop on Hornby Island. Though the day was covered with stormy skies, gusts of wind, and the constant threat of rain, the clouds held off just long enough for their vows and walk back down the aisle to the sound of thrifted vintage bells. The bride wore a thrifted wedding dress that had beautiful peaks of lace with the slip and sleeves, also wearing heirloom jewelry passed down from her grandma, adding layers of history and meaning to her look. As the couple slipped away for portraits, the rain finally began to fall, transforming their intimate moments into something even more romantic and unforgettable. We ran through the fields and along the beach to get some really amazing, playful shots in the rain. The rain truly made for some amazing details in their photos.”
