“Chelsea and Nathan are a precious couple who decided to get married at Nathan’s parents’ home, where they have lived for over 20 years. They are very family-oriented people, so their wedding day truly was focused on their friends, family, and quality time with the people they care about the most. They took their first look at the home they own together, making it extremely sentimental. Then, we did some fun and unique portraits with their bikes, as they are huge bikers, so it only seemed fitting. These two and their families have such a special bond that brings them together, so they shared a beautiful family-style dinner under a tent set up in the backyard of the home, a ceremony with their own personal vows with family and friends, and had a night full of drinks, dancing, mingling, and yard games with their guests. To add to the unique moments of their day, instead of serving cake, they opted for cinnamon rolls, as they are huge fans of the treat and wanted to share it with their guests! Something extremely special about this union that created such a sweet moment for these families – Nathan’s brother, Jordan, passed away a few years ago, and Chelsea’s maiden name is Jordan, so this is such a sweet sentiment to Chelsea entering the family and bringing the precious spirit of Nathan’s brother along with her always. Along with having family at the center of the day, they really tried to lean into the beautiful nature and gardens of the home that Nathan’s mom has worked so hard to maintain. They decided to go with lots of natural whites, greens, and pops of pinks and reds to add to the backyard without taking away from it. They also decided to use a beautiful light wood accent for all their chairs, tables, and vases, creating a natural look throughout. This wedding is a great example of how to host a backyard wedding well and make it beautiful without detracting from the home itself. They didn’t have the largest wedding or a proper dance floor with lights and crazy speakers, but what they did have was the comfort of their home and all of their people alongside them to celebrate.”
