“Zach and I both grew up in the midwest and met during college at Indiana University where we were both competitive cyclists. Along with a love for cycling, a big part of our relationship has always been a mutual love for the outdoors. We knew that getting married in Colorado meant we’d be able to share this love for nature with all our friends and family! Our wedding was nothing short of perfect! From the venue, to the decor, to all of our vendors, to our wonderful friends and family, it truly was a day to remember! Because everyone would be traveling to our wedding from out of town (minus a handful of people), we knew we wanted to give our guests a true Colorado experience while still being easily accessible. Blackstone Rivers Ranch was our dream venue because it was exactly that. Not only was the setting extremely beautiful and accessible for all our guests, but we were also able to sneak away during the reception and take some extra special photos up the road with beautiful mountain views. Along with our venue, we could not have asked for a better vendor team from our amazing wedding planner, to our florist, to our photographer! They are the ones who made everything possible! We also tried to include as many special and personal touches in our wedding as we could. Instead of traditional programs, we created newspapers that featured photos, our love story, and even a crossword puzzle (inspired by our love for the New York Times’ mini crossword game). We also had an ice cream cart as part of our dessert spread to mirror our love for sweet treats. We had bike cake toppers, personalized napkins, and signature drinks- all of which made the evening even more special. The best part of our wedding was having so many friends and family there to celebrate with us. Having all the people we love in the same place at the same time was truly unbelievable and made the night so memorable. Many of our friends and family extended their trip out west after the wedding and went on to national parks, road trips, and more! We are so thankful to have been able to share this special moment with them!”
