“We met the modern way – on a dating app in 2020! Our first date was at a local brewery, but by the second date, we were already hiking six miles together. By the fourth date, it was an eight-mile trek, and we knew this was something special. Adventure has been at the heart of our relationship from the very beginning. David proposed on a freezing February day while we were snowshoeing to a frozen waterfall outside Cooke City, Montana. I was bundled up in a vintage one-piece snowsuit, completely unaware of what was about to happen. When it was our turn for a photo in front of the falls, David knelt down – not to fix his snowshoe, as I first assumed – but to pull out a ring. In front of my parents, family, and even our dogs, he asked me to marry him. It was the most perfect, fitting moment for us – surrounded by nature and the people we love. When planning our wedding, we wanted the day to feel elegant but deeply connected to Montana, the place that shaped so much of our love story. We kept things natural, refined, and timeless, with lush florals in soft neutrals, blush, and greenery. My dress was a simple crepe gown, chosen specifically to complement the most meaningful detail – David’s great-great-grandmother’s veil, handmade in Belgium in the 1800s. The most special part of the day was sharing it with our families. From our heartfelt ceremony to dancing the night away, every moment was filled with love. And, in the most unforgettable surprise, we shared some incredible personal news with our parents on our wedding day – making it even more meaningful. After the wedding, we set off on a three-week honeymoon in Northern Italy, exploring Lake Garda, trekking through the Dolomites, and indulging in wine country. It was the perfect start to our new adventure as husband and wife.”
