“On a beautiful late summer evening in August, real life couple Mckenzie and Tyson came together for a styled shoot at the stunning new venue, Westwood Estates. This modern yet charming venue sits in the country side just west of Ponoka, Alberta and officially opened their doors in September 2024. The design of this styled shoot was Western Luxe. To bring in elements of desert yet country garden vibes within the florals, Blue Door Florals incorporated succulents and premium botanicals for a unique and elevated look. Steering away from the traditional soft and muted wedding colours we chose bright and juicy citrus tones with a burst of blue for contrast. Antonette Artistry worked their magic for a sultry, elegant look on the bride. For the ceremony Mckenzie wore a beautiful lace designer gown from Evie Young handpicked from Hello Beautiful Boutique. For the reception she then changed into a flirtatious mini by Heirloom Bridal Company. The groom did not disappoint, with two custom tailored suits from Jensens Mens Wear; the first being a classic navy suit tied together with a bolo, and then for the reception a spontaneous lilac suit was chosen with a funky floral piece added to the lapel of the suit. Our couple enjoyed curated beverages and a champagne tower by Tipsy Tays Bartending and indulged on specialty tarts by Wildflour Bakery. From the large details to the small, every aspect of this shoot was designed to bring a fun twist to the classic country style wedding palette right to the unique stationery by Hartree Designs and the elegant fine touches of jewellery by lead designer Sonja Deklerk. Enjoy this fun, western luxe shoot that was captured so perfectly by photographer Tara Jen Photo on both digital and film images that can provide inspiration for your next country wedding!”
