“As someone who plans weddings and events for a living, one would think I was in an easy position when planning my own. Once the excitement of our engagement began to calm, I was suddenly overwhelmed by the daunting task ahead. I knew I wanted to get married in Colorado, near my parent’s home, but that’s about it. Being based in Austin, Texas I knew no matter what, I would need someone in Colorado that I could trust to execute my unique and somewhat esoteric vision for our wedding day. I began to approach the task by looking at venues, but nothing had exactly what I wanted. Our goal was to create, from the ground up, an experience that reflected our artistic style, while coexisting in the natural beauty of the mountains. Before signing the contract for a venue I wasn’t completely sold on, I gave one last ask to see if anyone knew of this imaginary location I had envisioned in my mind. A mutual friend connected me with Kelly. When I explained what I was looking for, she jumped right in and told us about Eaton Ranch. Within minutes of texting her, she had already connected me with Mike Eaton, the owner of the ranch, and scheduled a call for me to learn more. I could tell immediately that she was the perfect person to bring our vision to life. Kelly kept us organized, let us think big and get crazy, and most importantly she made sure the only thing we had to do on our wedding day was show up. Kelly and I worked in tandem to bring the vision to life. She connected us with Eclectic Hive and Red Maple Catering who curated the visual and culinary elements of our wedding to perfection. Our floral team at House of Margot Blair, where I work, flew up from Austin because there was no one else I would trust with my flowers. A true testament to how incredible Kelly is was underscored by both my makeup artist, Liana Conway, and photographer, Kelly Giarrocco, telling me I was the most relaxed bride they had ever worked with. Kelly made that possible. All I had to do on my wedding day was marry my best friend, have the time of my life, and I knew without a doubt that everything else would be taken care of. Even with rain looming, and an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour ahead of us, I never felt an ounce of stress. While I can’t claim that Kelly can control the weather, the rain held off until exactly the moment guests were entering the tent for dinner, before torrentially coming down for the remainder of the evening. As our magical day came to a close, I realized I hadn’t seen Kelly since dinner had concluded, which was several hours before. As we went to leave the wedding and get in our car- there was Kelly, in a full rain suit, shuttling guests under an umbrella. She was soaked with rain she still had the biggest smile on her face.”
