“Our love story started back in 2013 when we were nothing more than kids in high school. We were young, wild and naive but we were in love! After leaving high school a lot of people assumed our relationship would falter or fade as most first loves usually do. This, however, was not the case for us! Ours is a love that endured, grew and flourished for eight years. In that time, we completed higher education, added to our family (a fur-baby named Lily), and bought a home! In the fall of 2021, we went on a camping trip to Allegany State Park as we love to camp and hike. On the second day there, when we reached the summit viewpoint of our hike and were all alone enjoying the moment, Andrew set up his phone to ‘take a picture’. He then proceeded to get down on one knee and pop the question all while getting the moment on video. I was saying yes and jumping into his arms before he could get much out! After hiking back down to our camp site, we called our friends and family to share the news and enjoyed the rest of the weekend cozied up by the campfire drinking warm apple cider, making s’mores and playing with our dog.”
