“With graduation on the horizon, Cam developed a crush on Jecca in the last month of college. Taking a leap of faith, he invited her to join him on a road trip from Minnesota to Seattle, where he was moving for his new job. Both Jecca and Cam brought a close friend along, and the group of four set off on a week-long adventure. Jecca recalls falling in love with Cam as they exchanged glances in the rearview mirror, with her seated behind him for the entirety of the trip. She extended her trip to stay by two weeks with Cam, and their fate was sealed. In the fall of the following year, Cam planned an extended trip, veiled as an extended birthday celebration for himself. Jecca and Cam spent a peaceful and rejuvenating week at a cabin and spa in the mountains of Colorado. Upon their return, Jecca had organized a surprise birthday dinner for Cam with out-of-town friends. However, when Cam pulled her into the living room and proposed, she realized they were actually heading to their engagement party, which Cam had secretly arranged. Jecca and Cameron’s wedding day was a rustic and eclectic display of fall colors, set amidst acres of untouched wilderness and majestic horses of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. Devil’s Thumb Ranch, set high above the hills, provided luxurious grounds and stunning mountain views. The original color palette was inspired by fall tones and the bride and groom’s favorite colors: lavender and orange. However, the hillsides were alive with September’s color-changing landscape, showcasing the last wildflowers of summer and the yellows and oranges of wild grasses and deciduous trees. Jecca, passionate about design, created many DIY elements. She crafted her rehearsal dinner dress, embroidered with charming phrases and flowers, as well as custom invitation suites, maps, and tote bags filled with personalized gifts featuring her artwork. The spectacular floral arrangements at the ceremony harmonized with the fall landscape, extending from the ground up along the wooden arbor, framing a picturesque view of the Rockies. Jecca’s Alexandra Grecco wedding dress embodied mountain elegance, with delicate floral details sewn from neckline to skirt onto floaty layers of mesh and tulle. She also created a cloth banner for guests to sign instead of a traditional guest book and sewed custom chair banners for the bride and groom’s seats at their head table. Vibrant floral installations hung from the barn’s soaring wooden beams, charming the space with sunset tones. The couple posed with their bulldog, Puddin’, and ended their evening with a lively karaoke party.”
