“Genevieve and Emerance are both hockey goalies who met in 2014 while trying out for the Canadian National Women’s Hockey Team. The two started dating in 2015 while they were both living in Boston where they quickly discovered that each other were ‘the one’. At the time they were both pursuing education while playing hockey, but they always found time to go on dates to art museums, theatres, dinners, etc. They spent eight years together competing for a position on the National Team and playing on many rosters together throughout their journey. Emerance and Genevieve have combined three Olympic medals and twelve World Championship medals with Team Canada. They have always pushed each other to evolve and grow as hockey players but also in their couple. The two support each other through all their endeavors. The two got engaged in April of 2022 while on a trip in Barbados. Soon after the trip, they started planning their wedding and settled on a date in July as that would give them the best chance of nice weather in Alberta. Whenever Emerance and Genevieve have a free moment they love to travel, try new foods and go on adventures together. They are constantly traveling with Emerance’s hockey and with Genevieve’s new career in corporate sponsorships but having one another’s support throughout their journeys is what makes them feel at home. The two recently bought their first home and are looking forward to this new chapter in their lives as wives.”
