“Our story started when we were in 6th grade. We were just little kids, but the second we laid eyes on each other we were both so gravitated toward one another. Who else gets to say love at first sight happened for them playing dodgeball in gym class? We always knew what we had was magic, we knew it was a forever kind of thing. We both married our first love in Salt Lake City, Utah on September 23, 2023. Small town Utah has always been home to us, and Salt Lake City is where we run to for all of life’s celebrations! We kept our guest list fairly small, and loved the intimacy of having our ceremony with just the people closest to us. We wanted that classic, nostalgic feel so the Grand America Hotel was the perfect venue choice. The venue itself is so beautiful we had very little decor, and for dinner we rented a stunning private dining room at the Laurel Brasserie located in the hotel. The biggest takeaway we had from our day, is that your wedding day can be anything you want it to be! We opted for a more simple, non-traditional wedding because we wanted it to feel easy and effortless. What mattered the most to us was just to have a day to honor the love we have for each other and the life we continue to build together with our loved ones. After dinner, we went out on the town and danced the night away! Lots of love, cocktails, dancing, and even a mechanical bull made for the perfect end to the best day ever. We are obsessed with the images brought to life by our amazing photographer Kierstin Jones, and will cherish them forever!”
