Surrounded by the San Juan Mountains and the remnants of Ouray’s rich mining history, the ranch pairs extraordinary views with something increasingly hard to find in Colorado: privacy, space to slow down, and the freedom to make the experience entirely your own.

The Wilmont hosts weddings of up to 40 guests and sleeps 18 onsite, creating a true destination wedding weekend where your closest people can stay, gather, explore, and celebrate together. From welcome drinks on the patio and mornings in the mountains to vows overlooking Ouray and dinner beneath the market lights, the property becomes yours to experience rather than simply a backdrop for the day.

For celebrations of up to 12, The Overlook offers something quieter and a little wilder. Its intentionally natural ceremony space sits among historic mine buildings with sweeping mountain views from an entirely different perspective. Onsite lodging for four, ceremony benches, farmhouse picnic tables for dinner under the stars, place settings, and planning assistance are included, giving couples the essentials for an intimate celebration without taking away from the beauty of what is already there.

How did the venue become a wedding venue?

When owners Rick & Sandra decided to buy the ranch and build The Wilmont, they did so to have a place to come and enjoy with their guests that would exceed all of their expectations and provide a location for memories to last a lifetime. In opening up their home to you - they seek to do the exact same thing.

What is your favorite part about a wedding?

We aren't sure there's an exact moment that we can pin point as a favorite, it's more the feeling. It's the buzz in the air when everyone gets to the ranch and sees it for the first time, the love everyone feels toasting the couple from the deck on a perfect summer night with the mountains glowing in the background, anticipation as two people get ready to promise forever to one another and of course, the moment the ceremony begins and the whole world pauses just for that couple. It's all so special. And our venue is a magical place for multiple days of moments like this.
