Most venues have a room that can be used as bridal suite. Once the girls depart for the ceremony, bridal suits usually looks like a sorority bathroom exploded. Flat irons, make up bags, cosmetics, underwear, shoes...you name it, it's scattered everywhere. Another component to the bridal suite is to provide a quiet place the bride to re-apply lipstick, use a blotting tissue, powder her nose, and adjust her dress. A chaotic, messy bridal suite does not make for a serene setting to perform those functions. Here's some useful items to help keep everyone's belongings neatly in place.
Today being Valentine's Day, the color red seems to be everywhere right now. Red has always been the universal color symbol of intense love. Sensual, confident, bold, hot, cupid, and sexy are some thoughts that come to mind. Rich colors create a romantic mood, and weddings are perfect for this setting.

Mark and I will be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary this June. Last weekend we finally used our last book of wedding matches. (We finished off the napkins about two years ago...) To put this in perspective: We heat our house primarily with wood. To start a fire generally takes between two and five matches...15 years, people! 15 years to burn through the matches!

As you interview wedding planners, include “May I see your tool kit?” on the list of questions. Sure, it’s a little personal, but the relationship with your planner is going to be nearly as intimate as the one with your fiancé. If you are not going to use a planner, I suggest you get to the nearest Target and load up on some essentials.
