With some of the best high-peak views the Summit County area has to offer, Black Mountain is capable of hosting a party of up to 300 and providing first-class service. Rocky Mountain Bride's editor, TV 8 host and fearless leader, Juli Rathke, recently spent some time at Arapahoe Basin's newest venue.
I had a Wow Moment watching the video promoting the new Wedding Deck at Beaver Creek. If I were getting married tomorrow, I would claw over other brides to host my ceremony here. It's not necessarily the mountain view that sets it apart (sorry, BC, but your sister resorts offer similar peak-to-peak views) - it's the place itself.

Telluride’s sleepy, humble nature is slowly being discovered...Our difficult-to-reach destination once thought of as a challenge to the community is now coveted as one of its many attributes setting Telluride apart from other mountain resorts. Telluride is known for its sweet, laid-back locals, its non-existant lift lines, prestigious ammenties and amazing guest service. Planning a wedding and wrapping it around a vacation for yourselves and your closest, most favorite people makes sense. Sharing a place like Telluride makes sense.

All of our staff is trained to perform CPR, and use our onsite AED and oxygen units. The o2 unit is the piece of equipment we most frequently have to break out – usually after a bridal party stood in the hot sun all day for pictures, didn’t drink very much water (but instead drank quite a bit of beer), and didn’t have much time to eat. The oxygen combined with rest and water usually alleviates the woozy feelings quickly, but it’s something we take seriously. Each year in Summit County there are unfortunate tragedies that could’ve been avoided by heeding the warning to take the effects of altitude seriously.
