Beware the Altitude Effect

 


All of our staff is trained to perform CPR, and use our onsite AED and oxygen units. The o2 unit is the piece of equipment we most frequently have to break out – usually  after a bridal party stood in the hot sun all day for pictures, didn’t drink very much water (but instead drank quite a bit of beer), and didn’t have much time to eat.
The oxygen combined with rest and water usually alleviates the woozy feelings quickly, but it’s something we take seriously. Each year in Summit County there are unfortunate tragedies that could’ve been avoided by heeding the warning to take the effects of altitude seriously.
