Chris and Carlee met 5 summers ago at the Dolores River Festival when Carlee came to Colorado from North Carolina to visit her family. The next fall Carlee made the move out to Colorado and the two have been together ever since! The couple loves spending time together outdoors. Whether it is mountain biking, kayaking, rafting, paddle boarding, hiking or climbing, for these two everyday is an adventure. Recently after Carlee accepted a new job, the two set off on an epic road trip around the Southwest where they rafted down isolated canyons, hiked to snow capped peaks, and soaked in the hot springs up in the mountains. It was there typical adventure until Chris was leading Carlee to an isolated lake in the mountains when he got down on one knee and proposed with two family rings, of course she said yes and the couple spent the rest of the day laughing, crying and making plans for the future. Deciding on the wedding location was a bit complicated as Carlee is from North Carolina and Chris from Colorado, but when they thought back on all of the great times they have had up river, they knew they wanted to be married in the river canyon where they fell in love time and time again. The wedding day was filled with endless laughter, tears of joy and the most incredible weather you could imagine. The morning of the wedding started as a beautiful sunny Colorado day and just one hour before the ceremony clouds rolled through the canyon and started to rain as the guests arrived, we are talking a complete downpour! After waiting for the rain to pass we went for it, we dried off the chairs and the music started. The rain slowly came to a drizzle and as the bride was walking down the isle, the sun came peaking through the clouds and they had beautiful weather the rest of the day. Just magical!
