“Erin and Chris met as Ski Patrollers at Copper Mountain in the Colorado Rocky Mountains. After their first season working together, they became inseparable, doing everything outdoors that Colorado has to offer. With their history of dating for six years in Colorado, they wanted to incorporate what they value the most; family and the outdoors. Erin said her wedding goal was to have a comfortable small wedding where her and Chris could enjoy being outside with their families and a mountain view. They did just, that with couches, vintage lounge chairs, and even binoculars placed throughout the tipi for everyone to relax and enjoy Colorado.
Everything from the vows to the cocktail hour, the crostini bar, speeches, and farm-to-table dinner took place within a modern tipi that opened into the fields of the private barn. The simple but loving vows took place at the edge of the tipi with each family member providing words of marital advice, which continued into the night over a farm- to-table dinner.
Erin's inspiration was to create an elegant and natural look within the tipi. Garden roses, peonies, rosemary, lavender, and local aspen tree greenery sprawled across the one long dinner table with candles adorned throughout each setting. It was set at a friend's barn that overlooks the Rocky Mountains outside of Boulder, Colorado. Erin, the Colorado, Birkenstock wearing girl couldn't help but smile all evening as she married her East Coast husband in the intimate setting she had been hoping for in her home state.”
