Bridal Blush

Every bride wants to look beautiful on her wedding day. It’s your special day and all eyes (and cameras!) are on you. Choosing your wedding day makeup is as important as choosing your gown and you wouldn’t choose your dress without trying it on first, would you? That’s why a trial run makeup application prior to your wedding is so important.
Before you think about makeup however, you need to address any issues you have with your skin. You’ll want to consult with an esthetician at lease 3 months prior to your wedding. She’ll analyze your skin and develop a treatment plan and make any necessary changes to your at home routine to correct and repair your skin. It’s not just about your face either, if you’re wearing a sleeveless and/or backless dress, it’s necessary to focus on these exposed skin in those areas as well. A common concern for brides is little red bumps on the upper arms. This condition is not uncommon (it’s called keratosis pilaris). With some in office treatments and a commitment to using at home products with effective levels of glycolic acid you can greatly diminish or resolve the problem.
Once your skin is ready for the big day, it’s important to choose the right kind of makeup application. Wedding day photography makeup is not your everyday makeup application. The time of day your ceremony takes place will affect your makeup choices. If you’re getting married in the morning you’ll want to have a very light application with a very natural look. If the wedding is taking place in the middle of the day, be aware that the sun can cast shadows on your face, which can make a difference if your taking outdoors pictures. This is the harshest light to be photographer in. There are specific application techniques that will assure that your makeup will be flattering and not look too harsh. If you’re getting married later in the day or into the evening you’ll be able to wear a more dramatic look. The light will be getting softer, warmer and it’s much more forgiving. So, if you love glamour this is your time of day.
With a little planning and the expertise of professionals, you can relax and know that on your wedding day you’ll be a truly beautiful bride and your wedding photos will be everything you’ve ever dreamed!
